I think this will be great! E will get some much needed competition, and with such a high amount of talent over at T11 it will be great to see what they can push through.

I have been over at the forums for a full day now, and I have to say, TMW is still the place to talk magic. Even if the place is crawling with poms :P

Misdirection isn't telling people to look at that elephant that's over there. It's merely asking what type of elephant it is...

What an odd thing to do????

Hmmm...I may have to try that.

So...sorry, but...does that mean there's more than one place to buy magic from?

Hold up...YOU CAN BUY IT!?!?

I gotta' go lie down.

It wasn't really viral marketing. It was just releasing teasers.

Viral marketing would be when you are compelled to send the video on to other people because it is so funny/shocking/amusing.

Good examples are at http://www.theviralfactory.com but it's a flash site so I cannot link to examples.

I love viral marketing in it's proper place. But whats the real trick here... the ones they will be offering or the misdirection of the branding, music and trendy marketing. E was making good money and now here's what I assume will be a clone spawn project.

There is no debate that these guys are great magicians and creators, but I'd still rather walk into Davenports and feel all I'm paying for is product and wages, rather than forking out for highly produced advertising and over inflated egos.

But I bet the kids love it...... its MTV magic

That all said they will probably end up with some of my money if their tricks are good..

There's one born every minute, and I'm one of them.

The upcoming CLOVERFIELD movie is the best example of viral marketing I can think of at the moment........

Ethan Haas was right, that another good example...
